Mira
In August 2021 we got a call about a kitten that was found barely alive; laying in a puddle on a street in Wantaugh. Without hesitation, we told the finder to go directly to West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center. When this poor kitten got there, her temperature was so low they couldn't get a reading; same with her glucose. She had no anal tone and was barley breathing. This baby needed a miracle. After 6 days in the hospital , Mira (short for miracle) made a 180 turn around. Her levels were back to normal, her vitals were back, and she was discharged into our foster program, where she recieved all of her vaccinatons and learned to play with other kitties. Mira is still learning to trust human friends and is still shy/skittish, but she is developing trust. She will play with toys, follow people, and eat treats from hands, but is still a bit nervous about being touched. She just needs a little attention and a patient family to give her a forever home and to fully relax into her housecat future! SPONSORED BY: Kristin Villafuerte, Claudia Engstrand, Margaret Kingsley
